New website

I'm delighted to debut this website.  It's overdue, yet for some reason it only feels right now.

Music has always been at the core of my being.  When I was young, people told me how much the expressiveness of my musicking communicated to them.  But it was only when I overcame my perfectionism and began writing songs that I felt I was finally expressing the things deep inside that my soul needed to communicate.  I have found that songwriting and singing are how I can be my best self – to discover and share what is most important to me.

Daryl - This is really a beautiful gift you are providing. There is so much value and healing in someone listening, with the ear and the heart and integrating the story enough to write a song to honor the story and the story-teller. Thank you for having the courage to push through and to humbly and graciously share your gift. Inspiring!

So proud of you! Listening, truly listening, is often neglected. Would you consider offering lessons on the cello?

Clearly you have listened to what the world needs more of and are using your unique gifts to respond to those needs. Reminds me of the following quote by David Orr, “The plain fact is that the planet does not need more successful people. But it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every kind. It needs people who live well in their places. It needs people of moral courage willing to join the fight to make the world habitable and humane. And these qualities have little to do with success as we have defined it.” All the best Daryl!

Jewel, if you lived closer I'm pretty sure I could provide you some decent cello coaching... even if I'd be learning at the same time! There are some things that are universal across instruments. But I would probably start by helping you find a cellist who offers lessons. Rhonda, thanks, I love that quote! Let's redefine success, shall we?
